Cross Country races are three miles over varied terrain. St. Pius X has a long history of success and is known for having very large teams with athletes of all talent levels, as there are no cuts! The team also prides itself in having one of the athletic department’s highest GPA.
Both boys and girls participate in on the St. Pius X cross country team. The team will participate in seven meets plus the district and state championships.

RESULTS FROM THE 2014 SEASON
Girls’ Cross Country capped off another state trophy-winning year, placing 3rd at state for the third straight year. The girls were led by an individual second place finish by sophomore Jordyn DiLorenzo and tenth place finish by junior Hannah Baca, earning them All-State honors. DiLorenzo was also the District individual champion, leading the girls to a district runner-up trophy. She and teammate Baca also earned All-Metro Team honors.
The boy’s placed 3rd at district and 6th at the State Meet. Junior Steven Duran placed 10th at District (All-District Team) and 17th at the State Meet. Duran also made the All-Metro Cross Country Team with his 4th place finish.
