SPX Mission statement

Dear parents, students, faculty and staff,

Starting Monday, September 19, 2022 we are rolling out the policy to allow skirts to be worn by the female students again. Uniform skirts or shorts may be no higher than 3 inches from the top of the knee. Any skirt or shorts that have been previously altered to a shorter length must be in compliance with the dress code. SKIRTS AND SHORTS CANNOT BE ROLLED UP. This rule applies to the boys' shorts as well. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTION TO THE RULE. We have worked hard to get uniform issues sorted out. Any student who cannot be in compliance with the uniform should wear jeans or the SPX khaki pants. If a female or male student cannot be in compliance with the 3 inch rule and receives three detentions due to the violation, they will be required to wear jeans or the SPX khaki pants for the remainder of the school year.

Thank you in advance for your support and cooperation. I feel we have built a good system of communication and trust this year and our commitment to one another should and must alleviate issues around dress code.

Sincerely,
Mike Deely
Head of School
