The Annual Fund Director is responsible for working with the St. Pius X community to identify, cultivate and solicit annual gift donors and contributions to the School’s Annual Fund. Reporting to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement, the Annual Fund Director oversees all annual fundraising projects at St. Pius X and is a prime point of contact for many constituencies and volunteer groups with the School (such as alumni, parents, and parents of alumni).
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create and share a clear, compelling case for supporting the Annual Fund and ensure the effective articulation of this message across communication and social media channels
  • Together with the VP of Institutional Advancement, develop an effective annual strategy to achieve Annual Fund goals in dollars raised and donors secured
  • Create donor-segmented solicitation appeals and thank-you letters, content for Annual Fund flyers and website; oversee distribution of all Annual Fund communications
  • Serve on the gala committee and solicit sponsorships for the event
  • Coordinate all aspects of Grandparents’ Day event
  • Determine appropriate segmentation and Annual Fund ask amounts for all constituents, with particular focus on current and prospective leadership donors, reunion alumni, and new parents and code this information in the database
  • Maintain a major gifts portfolio of approximately 25 constituents, with a particular focus on leadership annual giving donors and prospects
  • Oversee all Annual Fund solicitations/Annual Fund Calendar
  • Develop Annual Fund volunteer base (Parents, Grandparents, Parents of Alumni, Alumni, Faculty/Staff, and Senior Class) for Annual Fund campaign
  • Lead volunteer training and serve as main interface with Annual Fund volunteers
  • Coordinate and run phone-a-thons for parents and alumni
  • Produce and distribute regular stewardship reports for volunteers, Head of School, President of School, and VP of Institutional Advancement
  • Produce and distribute Annual Fund progress reports for Advancement Office meetings
  • Assist in planning donor stewardship events
  • Support other Advancement Office activities and events, as assigned
 
Work Location/Hours:
This position is not remote and requires the employee to be an active and present member of the campus community. Hours occasionally include nights, weekends, and the occasional holiday break/weekend.

The ideal candidate will have familiarity with Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge donor management software and other relevant industry application platforms is a plus.

The Digital Content Specialist is a full-time, on-campus member of St. Pius X's Advancement team. Reporting to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, the Digital Content Specialist assists with the writing, design, approval management, and delivery of advancement communications vehicles that include web, text, video, and social media. The Digital Content Specialist works closely with the entire Advancement team and the School's Leadership team to ensure that Advancement content is refreshed and compelling and is displayed on the St. Pius X website and social media accounts.
 
This position is an in-person opportunity only and not appropriate for any candidate seeking hybrid or remote work.
 
Essential Responsibilities: 
  • Social Media: Creates and designs relevant social media posts (stories/video clips/photo reels/post copy) for all constituents to school engagement and activity. Manages calendar of planned posts, identifies opportunities for organic/real-time posts, and creates and manages review and approvals process for advancement social media content. Manages flow of inbound post requests from social media sites.
  • Web Content: Serves as the school's webmaster. Creates ongoing and regular refreshed content and needed updates to all pages/content on the School website. Creates and generates new and "recycled" material for the Advancement pages to ensure refreshed profiles, articles, and up-to-date information for events, activities, and programs. Manages reviews and approvals of landing page and registration forms requested from all departments.
  • Texts: Works with team members to create, program, and prepare/execute text campaigns related to major events and offerings (e.g. Giving Tuesday, Spring Giving Days, etc.). Manages back-end set up of lists and information as needed. This is a growing area of digital communications for the Advancement team.
  • Video/Photography: Uses video and photography tools and platforms to create and manage content as requested/needed to be used in multiple digital formats to support school initiatives. Creates and edits digital content.
  • Metrics/Operations: Produces and tracks all digital communications metrics in an ongoing and sharable dashboard and makes recommendations for areas of change and needed attention. Maintains excellent online files and records of all digital communications using the School's Google Drives systems and ensures all team members can access materials and are correctly filed in a timely manner.
  • Stays current and learns about new tools, best practices, effective approaches within the world of digital communication and school Advancement and Admissions efforts.
  • Seeks to create efficient, effective, and evolving approach to digital communications
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Essential and/or Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree desired
  • 3+ years of professional experience in design, communications, journalism, or a related field
  • Experience creating and managing institutional social media posting on multiple outlets (Facebook, lnstagram, X, Linkedln, etc.)
  • School photography experience using an SLR camera
  • Basic graphic design abilities a plus
  • Familiarity with the creative design process, execution within deadlines and budget
  • Exceptional attention to detail in process and communication platforms
  • Strong proofreading, writing, and visual design skills
  • Fluency with office software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, text programs, Adobe Express/Canva, Al generative photo and design tools, and/or similar tools and platforms
  • Proven ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals, both internal (senior leadership, faculty, and students) and external (freelancers, designers, photographers, and printers)
  • Appreciation for private school culture and community norms
  • Available for occasional evenings and weekends as required for all-hands signature events and activities
 
Physical Demands and Work Environment: 
 
The working environment is an office and school environment on a 58-acre campus. The ability to occasionally lift files and storage boxes, walk up and down stairs, attend meetings in varying locations throughout campus, and off campus, and continually use computers and related office equipment is required. There are no elevators on campus.
This position is a full-time, in-person, 12-month, staff position. The candidate must be available for occasional weekend and evening work as needed for school events and projects outside of normal work hours.

At St. Pius X High School, we pride ourselves in having some of the most beautiful facilities in New Mexico. We are currently looking for a hard-working, responsible, reliable, motivated, energetic and detail-oriented individual who would add to our Grounds Department.
 
The best candidate for the Grounds Department would have the following skills/abilities:
  • Knowledge and skills to safely operate commercial mowers, blowers, line trimmers, and tractors.
  • Valid NM driver’s license
  • On-time and regular attendance is required.
  • Ability to work safely, efficiently, and independently
  • Experience in irrigation and fertilization.
  • Dependable, hardworking, and a self-starter.
  • Ability to work as a team, toward a common goal
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, stoop, climb, and bend for extended periods of time

The best candidate would have the following skills/abilities:
  • Vocational training in a directly related craft area, or one to three years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Valid N.M. driver’s license
  • On-time and regular attendance is required.
  • Ability to work safely, efficiently, and independently
  • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
  • Knowledge of one or more building trades
  • Ability to complete inspections of equipment
  • Ability to maintain and update any/all logs/records for equipment and specific tasks
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, climb, and bend for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift over 70 lbs
  • Ability to perform work at heights such as rooftops and lifts.
  • Ability to work without immediate supervision
  • Must be able to pass drug screening
