First and foremost - we hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable summer. As we come back please keep in mind that we need to come back in full force and remind ourselves that our current environment is now the new normal.
Thank you for getting physical packets, copies of immunization records and COVID vaccine cards to the school nurse. It is one step to keeping all of us safe and healthy.
Parents - Your help in reminding students that SPX can take all the necessary precautions and cleaning, but where students go after school and who they hang around with can make the difference. As you know, the Delta variant is spreading like wildfire. Infections have shifted from staff to students.
The students are wearing masks well. In class they are wearing their masks. Outside, many students continue to wear masks but it is time to take them off and breathe!
ACT and AP scores are in! During COVID our students remained strong in comparison to scores of other years. This is a testament to the excellent delivery of education by our teachers during a remote learning year AND how hard students worked to master their lessons.
SPX will continue to follow the public health orders put out by the NMPED, CDC, NMDOH, NMAA and AAP.
The student/parent handbook was sent from the attendance office, Ms. Jenkins, and requires an electronic signature to be submitted.
Students who have Chromebook problems should report to the library to submit a repair/troubleshoot order.

You will be receiving a more detailed, updated communication regarding COVID and SPX procedures in the coming weeks. COVID guidelines change frequently--what is required today may change tomorrow!
