Job Responsibilities
- Develop health plans for students with chronic illnesses or disabilities and communicate needs with faculty and administrators as needed.
- Administer medications as prescribed by a student’s doctor or as directed by parents.
- Maintain student and staff records to include updating immunizations and annual physicals in Magnus Health portal.
- Provide basic medical care to students, staff, and children enrolled in the daycare on a daily basis to include first aid, assessing health needs, and sending children home when necessary.
- Develop health-related protocols and procedures related to emergency and health response plans. Work with the Athletic Trainers to ensure proper student care related to injury and accommodations. Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and PED health laws and regulations.
- Communicate with parents, students, faculty, and administration regarding accommodations and health needs.
- Provide school-wide training on key health topics such as First Aid/CPR, AED, Bleed Kit, Diabetes Management, and other areas of need.
- Support wellness and health activities to improve and maintain a healthy school environment.
- Assist in the prevention and control of communicable diseases.
- Monitor student’s health status during short-term rest or recovery; follow up on medically excused absences as necessary.
- Assist in preparing a preliminary budget for supplies, materials, and equipment. Manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Complete drug testing of new hires
- Work in coordination with the Assistant Dean of Students to manage and complete random drug testing of students on campus
- Attend dances and other events to provide breathalyzer testing
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- Current New Mexico state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- BSN required,
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Experience working with school-age children, staff, parents, guardians, and physicians.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work with children and in an environment with different levels of illness or injury.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to run in the event of an emergency.
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, kneel, push, and pull.
- Ability to type and/or write throughout the work day.

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-Time (No less than 3.5 hours per week)
Schedule: Available Monday through Friday, 1:50 PM to 5:30 PM

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and energetic individual to join our team as the After School Care Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience working with middle school-age students, and a desire to help shape and grow our new after-school care program.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all program participants.
- Develop and implement engaging activities that create a positive environment for students.
- Communicate regularly with staff, parents, and others regarding program activities.
- Maintain attendance records and accident reports.
- Train and supervise after-school care staff, providing refresher training as needed.
- Ensure the program environment remains clean and sanitary at all times.
- Follow first aid and emergency protocols.
- Provide risk management to ensure participant safety.
- Manage participant behavior and activities, with the ability to adapt and redirect as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Preferred:
- 2 years of child care experience
- Experience working with middle school-age students
