“Light our Path”
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light for my path. Psalm 119:105
- TEACH ME GOODNESS, DISCIPLINE, KNOWLEDGE
- Our student athletes are wonderful examples of our school. They train hard and play hard. They make us proud. As fans, it is important to display conduct that reflects our school motto – “Teach me goodness, discipline and knowledge.” Good sportsmanship at games is required at all times, both by school policy and NMAA rules. Cheer on our athletes, coaches and officials with positive comments, comments that do not degrade another. Alcohol or someone who is under the influence of alcohol or any other altering drug is never acceptable at games. Fans who cross the lines of good sportsmanship can be asked to leave a game and may not be allowed at future games. Let SPX be the school with the best positive sportsmanship!
- Digital Citizenship
- Everyone in the digital world is extended certain requirements and freedoms. Students need to understand that access to the internet and online products is a privilege and opportunity that requires essential skills so that they can protect themselves and others online. St. Pius X High School holds students accountable for their actions while also teaching them to report any misconduct they see or experience in a virtual environment.
- When students are using digital devices at home and at school, they should be aware that viruses, worms, and other bots can be passed from one system to another, just like an illness can be passed from one human to another. Understanding how to evaluate whether a site is safe and using preventative measures, like anti-virus software and not opening suspicious emails, are important skills to help protect devices and personal information.
- Please remind your students with cell phones that posting inappropriate messages or material and getting involved with social media challenges will bear consequences.
- A Sartan’s behavior in all aspects of life is founded on Catholic Values. An SPX Sartan will refrain from any activity or language that will tarnish their name, that of their family, or that of St. Pius X High School.
- As mentioned in previous years - beginning with the Class of 2023: Rank will NOT be reported on report cards and transcripts. The top 10% of each class will be recognized. At the end of the senior year, the Valedictorian and Salutatorian will be recognized based on their cumulative GPA.
- For all classes, first and second honors will continue to be reported and recognized at the end of each semester, based on the semester GPA.

- AP Capstone Diploma is a College Board program that equips students with the independent research, collaborative teamwork, and communication skills that are increasingly valued by colleges. AP Capstone comprises two AP courses—AP Seminar and AP Research—and is designed to complement and enhance the discipline-specific study in other AP courses.
- Congratulations to the following 2022 graduates who completed and received the College Board Capstone Diploma: Mia Hernandez, Daniel Marsh, and Emily Randall
- Honors Convocation will be on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at 8:45 am in the main gym. The SPX National Honor Society Chapter will induct their new members at that time. It will be followed by the Honors Awards ceremony which will recognize those students who have already or will receive special awards and honors from last spring. Parents whose students will be recognized at the awards ceremony, will receive an invitation on Tuesday morning, inviting them to attend. Students will receive their awards and/or certificates beginning Thursday, Sep. 8th from the counseling office. At this time, to reduce contact and the length of the program, students will be recognized at their seats.
- Senior off Campus privileges will begin on Thursday, September 8, 2022.
- Student Morning Drop Off - Parents, please pull forward as far west as possible when dropping off your student(s).
- Uniform Update: Members of the administration, faculty, and the Student Council have been reviewing student uniform issues, specifically in regard to uniform skirts for girls. The school will resume allowing girls to wear the uniform khaki skirt, sold through A+, once we can confirm they have available stock so all girls who wish to purchase a skirt may do so. The length of the skirt must be no shorter than 3 inches above the knee. We believe it will take at least four weeks at this point. We will update our students and parents when orders or purchases may be made, and we will also update the uniform rules in our handbook. Female students may continue to wear jeans or the uniform shorts if they wish. PLEASE NOTE: SKIRTS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT THIS TIME. The girls will be allowed to wear the skirts at the time the skirts are available for purchase in the Sartan Shop.
