  • The COVID Omicron (bivalent) booster vaccine is now available. Individuals and families can sign up for an appointment by calling 1-800-600-3453 (option 3, option 9 for Spanish), online at vaccineNM.org, vaccine.gov, or through their personal medical provider or pharmacist. The flu shot can be given at the same time.
  • A Flu Shot Clinic will be held at St. Pius X on Friday, October 14, 2022. Students and their family members aged 3 years and older are eligible. Consent forms will be sent out around September 30.
  • Uniform Update for the Girls: Skirts are available for sale in the Sartan Shop starting next week for our female students to purchase. We want to prioritize freshman students and transfer students making purchases first, but we should have enough for any of the girls who need a new skirt. Skirts must be in compliance with school policy and the bottom of the skirt may not be more than three inches from the top of the knee. Our female students are still allowed to wear jeans, school shorts, and school khakis. We will start to allow the skirts to be worn starting Monday, September 19th. We want to have time for girls to buy skirts and make sure the skirts they own are in compliance with our rule. My thanks to our student council leaders, faculty, and administration for your collaboration.
    • Sartan Shop hours - for Freshman girls to purchase skirts will be Tuesday-9/13, Wednesday 9/14, and Thursday-9/15 from 2:30 - 5:30
    • Sartan Shop hours - for upperclassmen girls to purchase skirts will be Tuesday-9/20, Wednesday-9/21, and Thursday-9/22 from 2:30 - 5:30
      • ONLY 2 SKIRTS PER STUDENT MAY BE PURCHASED AT THIS TIME
      • ADDITIONAL SKIRTS MAY BE PURCHASED BEGINNING OCTOBER 3RD
  • Uniform Update on Shorts for Boys or Girls: The SPX uniform shorts may be worn by either the boys or the girls. The bottom of the shorts may not be more than three inches from the top of the knee. The shorts may not be rolled up – this includes the top and/or bottom of the shorts.
  • SHORT/SKIRT DRESS CODE VIOLATIONS: Any student wearing shorts or a skirt that is not in compliance with the 3” above the knee requirement, including rolling up the skirt or shorts, will be issued a dress code detention. Three repeated violations for dress code infractions will result in the student losing the privilege to wear the shorts/skirt. This is a policy we worked on with our student council leadership to help build cooperation between the faculty and the students.
  • Congratulations to all students who received recognition at the Honors Convocation on Wednesday, Sep 7, 2022. GO SARTANS! Remind your students who received First or Second Honors for the Spring Semester of 2021-22 to pick up their certificates in the Counseling Office during their lunch periods or before or after school.
  • 1st Semester Final Exams–The first semester finals are scheduled for Thursday, December 16th through Wednesday, December 22nd. Students only need to be on campus when they have a scheduled final. Per SPX policy, no finals will be administered early. Students who miss a final for any reason should contact Mrs. Ducaj at [email protected] as soon as possible to arrange for a time to make up the final. The makeup final will be scheduled during finals whenever possible. Any finals that cannot be made up during the scheduled finals will be administered on the following Saturdays: January 14th, 21st and 28th. A $50 fee will be charged for each missed final unless the student missed the final due to illness (doctor’s note is required) or a death in the family (documentation required). PLEASE NOTE: Any student who misses a final exam will receive a grade of Incomplete for that class, which means that student is ineligible for participation in extracurricular/athletic activities until the incomplete is completed and the student’s grade is updated.
