The Flu Shot Clinic
We had 18 staff, 60 students, and 31 family members for a total of 109 vaccinated on October 14!
The Flu Vaccine and the COVID Bivalent Booster:
- The bivalent booster has been approved for anyone 5 years and over who has received their 2-dose primary series and it has been at least 2 months since their last COVID vaccine. You should wait up to 3 months after a COVID infection.
- It is safe to get the flu vaccine and the COVID bivalent booster at the same time.
- If you had COVID recently, you should still get the flu shot before the end of October or by early November.
- Both shots can cause tenderness at the injection site, headache, fatigue, and sometimes a fever. Get a shot in each arm to avoid extra soreness.
- It takes 2 weeks for either vaccine to take full effect. Go get them now so you will be fully immunized before the holidays.
