Attention returning and new Sartans in 2023! St. Pius X High School, Inc. Board of Trustees has decided to provide inflation relief to families who decide to register early for the 2023-2024 school year. Any family registering their student by December 1st, 2022, will pay the same $12,900.00 tuition as the current school year. After December 1st, the tuition for the 2023 2024 school year will increase to $13,030.00. Register now and save. Questions? Call Martina Ruiz at 505-831-8409. Pre-ACT
Sophomore Pre-ACT on Friday, October 28 in the main gym 8:00 - Noon.
  • Students will need to bring 2 wooden #2 pencils (not mechanical) with a workable eraser.
  • Students should also bring a snack to eat during the break.
  • Students will need an approved, workable calculator for the test. Most graphing and scientific calculators will work. Calculators that are able to send messages are not permitted.
  • All electronic devices (smart phones & watches) are strictly prohibited to be on-person and/or turned on during testing. Be sure to follow directions in your testing room.
  • Students are encouraged to get a good night's rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and to do their best on this national test.
 
Reminders for SPX Students
➢ Outerwear:
  • Only SPX outerwear or a plain black sweater, pullover or cardigan will be allowed.
  • In the classroom, only SPX outerwear or solid black, such as: sweaters, jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies, letter jackets, team jackets and long-sleeved warm-up shirts may be worn. A uniform shirt must be worn underneath any of the items listed above every day, with the exception of spirit days. These items are available in the Sartan Shop. All other outerwear must be removed in the classroom and/or Mass.
➢ Footwear:
  • Shoes must be in good condition and worn at all times. All shoes must have a full back or back strap, i.e., no backless shoes, flip-flops, etc. The back strap must be part of the original manufacturing of the shoe and may not be ribbons, strings, cords, etc. Slippers are not allowed.
 
Haunted Homecoming Spirit Week Dress-Up Days
 
Dress code for Dress-days 
All dress must be modest in nature and appropriate clothes for all costumes
  • Costumes may not reveal midriff/torso
  • Tattered clothes/onsies are acceptable but must have appropriate clothes underneath.
  • No masks - facial make up is acceptable and face must be recognizable.
  • Prop costume pieces are appropriate - props that resemble a weapon or lookalike are not acceptable.
  • No cross dressing of any kind.
Monday, October 24th- Monster Mash Day: Students will dress accordingly with the theme of their class float as a tribute to the homecoming theme of Haunted Homecoming.
  • Freshmen are zombies
  • Sophomores are ghosts
  • Juniors are mummies
  • Seniors are vampires
  • Teachers can be witches/wizards/werewolves.
Tuesday, October 25th - Scooby-Doo Day (Post-Movie Day): Students will be allowed to dress as any of the main cast from the mystery gang from Scooby-Doo and any of the monsters/villains from the show. This includes Shaggy, Scooby, Fred, Daphne, and Velma. Students will also be able to dress up as any of the villains from the series, as long as it is still appropriate clothing. Specifically for the two characters who wear skirts, Daphne and Velma, if any students were to dress up as them, then they would have to wear a skirt at the appropriate length or leggings under the skirt to follow our dress code. No cross dressing of any kind.
 
Wednesday, October 26th - Dynamic Duo Day: Students will be allowed to dress up together with another student as a “dynamic duo.” This means that they could dress as two people or things that are commonly paired together, for example Batman & Robin, ketchup & mustard, Pikachu & Ash, etc.
 
Thursday, October 27th -St. Pius X Spirit Wear: Students may only wear spirit wear
 
Friday, October 28th - Stranger Things Day: Students will dress up in the decade that the show is set in, the 80’s. Get your Member’s Only Jackets, your Hawkin’s High School gear, and let’s go back to the 80s! No cross dressing of any kind.
