Sartans Set for Big Postseason Weekend in Volleyball and Football
This week, the Sartans volleyball and football teams are gearing up to continue their exciting postseason journeys. The Sartans volleyball team, fresh off winning the District 5-4A championship with a stellar 20-3 overall record and a perfect 8-0 district run, earned the #1 seed in the 2024 New Mexico High School Volleyball State Tournament. With a first-round bye, the Sartans will face the winner of the #8 Valley vs. #9 Goddard matchup in the quarterfinals. This game is set for Thursday, November 14th at 4:00 pm.
A victory in this game would advance them to Friday’s semifinals at 4:00 pm. Full bracket information is available online.
2024 Rudy's Real Texas Bar-B-Q State Volleyball Class 4A
The Sartans football team, with an impressive 8-2 overall record and a perfect 5-0 district record, also earned a bye into the quarterfinals. They’ll play host to the #7 Grants Pirates, who defeated the #10 Silver Colts 22-16 in the first round. The quarterfinals game is set for Saturday at 1:00 pm at Milne Stadium.
