Placement Exam
Spring 2025 Exam Dates
Prospective students can pick one of the following dates:
- Saturday, January 25th - 8:00 a.m.
- Tuesday, January 28th - 1:00 p.m.
After you Apply! The placement exams are open to prospective students. They are used to determine placement, they are not an admissions test. All applicants must take a placement test. These tests are used to determine placement, it is not an admissions test. Transcripts, current standardized test scores and teacher/principal/counselor recommendations are used to determine acceptance.
- High school placement test (HSPT) requires about 4 hours to complete, and tests verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, reading comprehension, math skills, language arts skills, and science. Students should bring two no. 2 pencils, a bottle of water, and a snack. Calculators are not allowed.
- 8th grade placement test will be the Pre-HSPT: This exam is the 7th grade version of the HSPT exam, which is what we use for placement into grade 9.
- 6th & 7th grade exam will be College Equipped Readiness Tool (CERT). It is based on the ACT, and it takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete.
